You are just another me you're just another wannabe You are just another me your'e just another wannabe You, you, you.... Y-Y-Y-You are just another me J-J-J just another wannabe You are just another me your'e just another wannabe So you wanna put me down, pull me down Walk all over me. You wanna take my dignity? Out Of Action Did you hear about the boy of only seventeen? Shot twenty oil-rigs in the rich Middle-East They make up the law out there, 'ropes 'n' all' (attraction) So they swung him back and forth and put him Out Of Action He says “I ain't gonna recognise anybody’s sanction Cos when you’re bored like me you gotta get some action” Did you hear about the guy in the Civil-Servant show? He’s unfaithful to his wife each Thursday in Soho But ignorance is very kind to those who would be hurt Or that's what the milkman tells her when she’s ironing his shirt She says “I'm gonna recognise anybody’s sanction Cos when you’re bored like me you gotta get some action I'm gonna recognise anybody’s sanction Cos when you’re bored like me you gotta get some action" Did you hear about the girl who lives next door to me? She’s a physical-fitness freak, good on her, poor me I went round to say hello and get some easy action Boy when she gets through with me I’m gonna need traction She says “I'm gonna recognise anybody’s sanction Cos when you’re bored like me you gotta get some action I'm gonna recognise anybody’s sanction Cos when you’re bored like me you gotta get some action" Action, action, action, action, action!

Put The Lights On Me I’m the one you’ve come to see, put them lights all on me, Don’t you see I am the star cos I’ve been told I’m gonna go far Applaud us and the credit’s all mine Loving myself all of the time If I should say you’ll have to go away Cos I’ve got important things to do all of the day Go away, go away Before I get mad leave me today There’s no more to see I don’t want to play anymore just for you please go away Wait a moment won’t you come back Since you left there’s been a lack. I was joking all of the time, without you nothing will rhyme I can see now that I was wrong, It takes more than me to make a good song Now we’re a group the way it should be Taking our bows and sharing the fee United we stand divided we fall Without all of you we would be small..(repeat to end)

Freedom Freedom, I’ll lay it on the line (whoa oh oh oh) We haven’t got much time before we try and kick each other blind Peace, we’re fighting all the time (you know, you know) When will we ever find the time to see that what we do’s a crime A few more years of this sweet bliss And we’ll be up to our necks in this Why is a stranger staring at me? If this is freedom it’s killing me! (above sung three times)

Centrepoint Anywhere Reinforced concrete it’s so strong Holding up the offices for ever so long Holding up the building to prove the people wrong No one'll get hurt, and everybody’s gone Centrepoint it’s an empty point Centrepoint it’s a money point Centrepoint it’s a talking point Centrepoint! In and out the car park all the bikers go They're burning up the road signs, Halt! Slow! Go! Signals for the workers, neon just for show Cos they’re unemployed again, the building’s gotta go,go,go,go Centrepoint it’s a talking point Centrepoint it’s a wasted point Centrepoint what's the point! Centrepoint! Breaking up the building takes so long Longer than the dole queue, it’s so wrong Longer than the long face looking for a home He ain't got no money so he ain't got a home Centrepoint it’s an empty point Centrepoint it’s a money point Centrepoint what's the point! Centrepoint!

about

Nuffin's debut album, released May 2018 - just 41 years after the band's first gig in 1977. The album comprises twelve original songs penned by the band between 1975 and 1979.

Today, with the original line up from the 70s the band delivers a collection of songs that are a reflection on adolescent relationship angst (Pigs Can't Fly, Red Day Blues and Mandy Tuesday Wendy). Other tracks are more politically forged in the bleak 'post-World War II' social landscape of a decaying Britain, urban snapshots of an austere and alienating London (Crowd Control, Centrepoint Anywhere, We're Plastic and SOS From The SS). Some songs mix both of these elements (Punk Enemy and Out Of Action).

The songs were designed to be delivered at a break-neck pace with only occasional interludes of recovery for band and audience. Nuffin' thrives on a camaraderie with its fan-base which continues to grow.

Texturally the rapid fire drums and staccato bass provides the framework on which to hang the raw slap-strum of guitar over-laid with dual lead vocals melding harmony and acrimony in varying proportions.
